For Christina and Julio they chose to go to Torrey Pines for their engagement photos. I always suggest that my clients choose an engagement session location that has special meaning to them. For them, they chose this location because it was where Julio proposed to Christina. Torrey Pines State Reserve is a coastal state park located in the community of La Jolla, in San Diego. Being that this is a state park it does have operating hours, so keep that in mind when visiting. Torrey Pines has many hiking trails within the park with stunning views of the ocean.
When planning your Torrey Pines engagement photos at this state park there are many different trails you could follow through for the views. To stay safe, it is important to stay within the trails. Also, if you are interested in going onto the beach you should go during low tide. When the tide is up it does come all the way up to the cliff sides so you won’t get much of the beach.
For these Torrey Pines engagement photos we decided to divide up our time between some trails with the stunning ocean view and we ended it at the beach. In order to do that we were there for two hours. That also gave us enough time for some outfit changes. Christina also had the cutest idea to really personalize their engagement session! She had such a fun idea to set up a small picnic for them to enjoy during their shoot. We had so much fun going through the trails and exploring the stunning views!
