The Monsaraz San Diego

I recently got to visit The Monsaraz San Diego. It was such a beautiful hotel and so cool to walk around and see everything they have to offer. As I walked around the property, I felt like I had found a hidden gem in Point Loma. It was interesting to hear about how they tied in the history within Point Loma to the details within the hotel and its decor. It was also fun to learn how The Monsaraz San Diego offers some private spaces for events and weddings.

About The Monsaraz

Point Loma was first discovered by Portuguese settlers in the early 16th century and is referred to as the place “where California began.” The Monsaraz merges the historic with the modern to connect you with all the best San Diego and Point Loma offers.

The Monsaraz San Diego is just steps from Fisherman’s Landing; they’re less than five minutes from downtown and Sea World and under two miles from Sunset Cliffs beach. San Diego’s iconic restaurants like Point Loma Seafood are within walking distance. The Monsaraz offers a beautiful restaurant, courtyard with locally inspired events, a partnership with local coffee roaster Dark Horse Coffee, and a cocktail bar to complete the relaxed San Diego vibe.

The Westerly Public House

The Westerly Public House is a restaurant located inside The Monsaraz that seats 60 with a Cali-Aussie style. This restaurant showcases the flavors and spirit of the coastal towns of Venice Beach and Bondi Beach, and it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Rooms

There are 92 guest rooms in The Monsaraz San Diego and 3 of those are suites. The room design is a mid-century modern playing into Point Loma’s history coupled with the coastal spirit of San Diego.
