I was so excited when I got the text from Lauren asking me if I was available to shoot her Coronado Beach elopement. It was a “yes” right away!
Lauren and Johnny had been waiting for such a long time to get married. They were trying to decide on the best way to go about it considering their situation. Lauren’s dad wasn’t doing too well, and she didn’t feel right having a wedding that her dad wouldn’t be able to attend.
Sadly, he passed away at the end of August. Lauren found the perfect way to make her dad a part of her beautiful wedding. She decided that his birthday was coming up on September 27th and that it would be the PERFECT day to tie the knot in his memory. To say the day was magical would not do it justice. I suspect her dad had something to do with that! The weather was absolutely amazing!
Then, waking up that day, I was so excited for them, and my heart burst with happiness. They waited a very long time for this day to come, with their parents by their side and Lauren’s dad there in spirit. Luis was the one who officiated their marriage, and he did an excellent job. They decided to get married in Coronado Beach, which was the same beach where they had their engagement session.
For Lauren’s makeup, Taylor, her makeup artist, did such a beautiful job. She looks absolutely stunning.
Moreover, we all had so much fun that day! It was truly such a beautiful moment to be a part of. Moreover, I am so thankful that I was able to capture their love during such a small and intimate ceremony. To top it off, they graciously invited me for lunch after the wedding. We had lunch at Peohe’s, the perfect restaurant with views of the downtown San Diego skyline.
Let’s just say, it was the perfect day with the perfect couple.
