Coronado Engagement Session- Lauren & John

Coronado Engagement Session

Lauren & John

I cannot believe it took me so long to share this Coronado engagement session!! For some reason, I thought I had already shared this session with everyone because it was so amazing for so many reasons. First, this session was my very first engagement session of the year! See how long this took me? This session is from January!! Second, this session took place in one of my very favorite parts of San Diego—Coronado Island. Lastly, I got to meet and hang out with a pretty amazing couple and their fur baby; how fun is that?!?

When I first spoke to Lauren on the phone, I just knew that she would be a blast to work with. We got along right from the start, and I couldn’t wait to meet up for their Coronado engagement session. I was so excited when she told me she wanted to shoot at the Coronado Ferry landing! I have had sessions all over Coronado before, but never actually at the Coronado Ferry Landing. We then moved to the beach for the sunset, and it was just a perfect location to end our session. We had such a beautiful sunset!

Lauren and John told me all about how they met and the beginning stages of their relationship. From the get-go, Lauren and John’s relationship has never been easy. John’s military commitment often took him away, and they had to quickly figure out how to keep dating while they were apart. They came up with having “wine and scotch dates” through FaceTime. This made it so cool and meaningful to incorporate that into the session; Lauren had her glass of wine and John had his glass of scotch.

Before heading out to the beach for the sunset, they brought out their fur baby for some pictures. Have you ever seen a double doodle!?!? He is just the cutest and, from the minute I met him, I wanted a double doodle for myself. It was awesome to be able to get some great pictures of the three of them, together.

Ending the session on the beach in Coronado was amazing. The good thing about a Coronado beach engagement session in January is that you pretty much get the beach to yourself! We even found a random boat that had washed up on shore and made for a pretty cool photo prop!

Check out some of the highlights from our session!
