Martin Johnson House Weddings | C&A

Martin Johnson House Weddings are always something special! This wedding was extra special because Colleen and Alberto had to reschedule their wedding twice. They had to wait an extra long time to celebrate their big day. They were one of the millions of wedding couples affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The pandemic forced them to reschedule twice. But this did not prevent them from holding the celebration they had been planning for so long. Prior to their formal wedding, Colleen and Alberto chose to marry privately during the pandemic. They welcomed their sweet baby boy, Diego, just in time for him to witness and celebrate his parents’ love. Having Diego at the wedding made the celebration that much more grand and exciting!

Coleen and Alberto had planned their Martin Johnson House wedding to be bright, fun, and inviting, just like them! This bright, fiesta-themed wedding gave guests a great opportunity to make up for lost time and celebrate the love between two of their favorite people. Lawn games and colorful accents created a quaint and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of an upscale backyard wedding, but with stunning views of the Pacific coastline along La Jolla, California. Guests could dine, dance, and converse while looking out over the Pacific Ocean, La Jolla Cove, and Scripps Pier, which is one of our favorite aspects of Martin Johnson House weddings!

Weddings at the Martin Johnson House

The Martin Johnson House is located on the Scripps Institution of Oceanography campus. It features a small indoor cottage as well as two outdoor, multi-level decks ideal for dinner and dancing under the stars. This venue also has a number of small grassy areas surrounding it. That allow guests to get away from the event for a quick catch up or more intimate conversation. I personally enjoy Martin Johnson House weddings because, not only does the immediate space provide perfect flow for the event and countless photograph opportunities. But there are also nearby buildings and other locations, such as the beach, that can be used to add variety to your overall wedding album. There’s even beach access down the stree for those absolutely stunning sunset shots without having to host your entire wedding on the beach.

If you are looking for the perfect San Diego beachside wedding venue without the hassle of hosting a full beach wedding, I suggest doing some additional research on Martin Johnson House weddings as this might be the perfect venue for you!
