San Diego Family Photos | The Rock Family
What better way to remember your family vacation than with San Diego family photos?
I love photographing families who return to our lovely city on a regular basis; as well as those who want to take San Diego family photos while exploring the city for the first time!
The Rock family understands the value of taking family photos while on vacation. This was my second time working with them; but this time we adventured around Scripps Pier and the La Jolla shores for the ultimate San Diego family photos! In the past, we have photographed at the dog beach in Coronado. However, for this session, Taylor and David were craving those iconic La Jolla Pier photos and there was no better place for it.
La Jolla Shores Pier
La Jolla Shores is one of our favorite spots for San Diego family photos; there is a large variety of different backdrop options; with our favorite being the historic wooden beams of Scripps Pier up against the soft rolling ocean waves. The best time to capture your San Diego family photos if you are heading to La Jolla Beach is either in the morning or around sunset; which provides the best lighting for your photos. The morning or afternoon golden hour are the best times for your San Diego family photo sessions; as during this time you get the best combination of soft, direct light and bouncing, ambient light.
Taking photos on a family trip allows you to capture your kids, spouse, and you in the most carefree and fun way possible. Rather than taking photos in the midst of your daily activities, schedule a family session during your vacation. If you take family photos while on vacation every year, it will be a great way to remember your children as they grow up while also honoring some of your favorite family vacations. What a fun time capsule to have as they grow older!
