Aubree and Greg started by dressing in soft neutrals to simulate the ocean waves and sandy beach. After the first half of their shoot, they changed into more vibrant hues, resulting in a pop of color in their images. I absolutely loved how Aubree’s outfit, up against the sharp, jagged edges of the cliffs, added an effortless breeze and softness to their photos.

When choosing her outfits she definitely kept in mind what she had read on my “What to wear for your engagement session” blog.  She took my advice and truly got dressed up. I always say “there really is no such thing as being too dressed up!” I always advise on choosing dresses. They are always a great go-to because they tend to really compliment the female body. Long dresses are my favorite, I love how they add a little flow. In turn they can really make the images look whimsical and classic. I love outfits from Lulus or Morning Lavender, they always my recommendation for beautiful dresses.

Keep in mind

A few things to keep in mind regarding el matador beach engagement photos. This eye-catching setting makes it so that it can get crowded during peak hours. I recommend scheduling a session during the week rather than on a weekend day. It is also preferable to photograph at El Matador Beach at low tide because it provides easier access to the unusual rock formations and more variety in your album.

My preferred time to start a session is about 2 hours before sunset. That makes it so that we get the most perfect lighting. Also, if we are lucky enough to stay there until sunset, we get to capture some of that beauty as well. However, regardless of the day you choose for your session, you can be confident that your images will be an absolutely stunning reminder of the day and your love!

El Matador beach engagement photos are also sure to wow your family and friends and will make for the best save the date cards or beautiful framed photos in your home.
