Sharon + Tommy: Dreamy Backyard Wedding
I was so excited when the day finally came for Sharon and Tommy to say their “I DOs”! After having such a great time during their engagement session, I just knew that capturing their dreamy backyard wedding would be a dream. To say it was a dreamy backyard wedding almost feels like it doesn’t do it justice!
The project of a lifetime.
Sharon and Tommy decided that instead of renting out a wedding venue they would buy a house and transform the backyard INTO their wedding venue. I mean, talk about an ambitious couple! The second they told me, I had visions of Chip and Joanna Gains jumping out and surprising everyone (and Sharon and Tommy becoming the newest stars of Fixer Upper)!! I know that in San Diego, it’s really hard to find a house with a yard that big, so I was really excited to see it come together. Not only was it big enough, but it was also so incredibly beautiful!!
A dreamy backyard wedding.
These two basically need to start their own TV show and call it Dreamy Backyard Weddings! Seriously, I had some major swoon-worthy moments throughout the day.
What really touched me was the memorial table Sharon and Tommy set up to include the people who weren’t able to be there. While those details are sometimes emotional to include, it is so important to do what makes you feel close to the people you love on your big day. It was simply beautiful.
The trees and their garden just made it for such a whimsical venue! Becky from The Sweetest Blooms , added flowers to the arches and table decors that just brought everything together. To say that Becky is talented with flowers would be the understatement of the century. She’s a flower MASTER!
It was such a pleasure to see everything come together! Their first look was so emotional and seeing them celebrate their love was so touching! Moments like those are what make this job fill me with happiness and love. It’s contagious!
