Lifestyle In Home Family Session – San Diego Family Photography

Welcome to the world baby Jack!

A few weeks ago, a dear friend opened her doors to me for a in-home family session in San Diego, CA.  I love family sessions and was so eager to meet the new member of the family, baby Jack!  This family session was a newborn lifestyle session to capture Baby Jack and his little sisters who were so happy to have their new baby brother home with them.  They had been dying to meet him since they found out their mommy was pregnant. Baby Jack was only two weeks old when we had this session done and his little sisters, Ellie and Lucy, were three and one and a half.

In-home lifestyle family sessions are one of my favorites to do; I love to capture families in their own elements and in everyday moments that are so precious, but often overlooked because of the chaos that comes with having kids. I truly love looking back at those pictures and remembering those little moments with my girls. In reality, newborn and family sessions with little ones do not always go smoothly and rarely with all smiles. Let’s face it, kids are unpredictable and you can’t reason with a newborn! That is why I truly believe that, with newborns, the best place to have their pictures taken is in the comfort of their own home. Your home is where the little ones feel safe, which makes for the best opportunity to capture the most moments filled with smiles and laughter.

I was in heaven during this in-home lifestyle family session! I mean, how can you not be when you’re watching the love, laughter and tenderness coming from Dad, Mom, two older sisters and this sweet little baby!  I said it before and I will keep saying it, I love in-home family sessions, as it is usually where everyone is in their happiest and most relaxed place, their home.  The giggles, smiles, hugs, and gentle kisses filled the air – perfection!
