Alise and Wesley’s Old Point Loma Lighthouse photos was such a fun engagement session to capture. It was my first time there, but that did not deter us from getting amazing images. As a photographer, I love getting to know my clients before their wedding day, and the engagement session is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Not only do these sessions allow us to get to know each other on a personal level. But, they also help my clients feel more comfortable in front of the camera. That way, when it comes time for their wedding day, they are relaxed and confident, which makes for stunning photos.
We chose the Old Point Loma Lighthouse as our backdrop for Alise and Wesley’s engagement session. This historic lighthouse in San Diego, California, is perched atop a hill with sweeping views of the ocean and the city below. The lighthouse was built in 1855 and was a beacon for sailors for over 30 years before being replaced by a newer, more modern lighthouse. Today, the Old Point Loma Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction and a favorite spot for photographers.
One of the reasons the Old Point Loma Lighthouse is such a great location for photos is its stunning views. You can see miles of coastline and breathtaking sunsets from the top of the hill. The lighthouse is also a beautiful piece of architecture, with its white walls and red roof standing against the blue sky.
After taking some beautiful shots at the lighthouse, we headed to the nearby Sunset Cliffs for some photos during sunset. This iconic San Diego spot is known for its rugged coastline and stunning ocean views. The golden hour light was perfect, casting a warm glow on the couple and creating a romantic atmosphere.
Alise and Wesley were such a joy to work with. They were relaxed, fun-loving, and easy-going, which made for some truly beautiful photos. By the end of the session, they were completely at ease in front of the camera, and I knew their wedding photos would be just as stunning.
So, if you’re engaged and looking for a photographer for your wedding, I highly recommend scheduling an engagement session. It’s a great way to get to know your photographer, get comfortable in front of the camera, and get some beautiful photos of you and your partner. And if you’re looking for a stunning location for your photos, the Old Point Loma Lighthouse and Sunset Cliffs in San Diego are definitely worth considering.
I also had the pleasure of photographing Alise and Wesley’s wedding at the La Jolla Woman’s Club. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. I’m excited to share the story of their wedding day in my next blog post and showcase the stunning photos that we created together. Stay tuned for their wedding day blog post coming soon!
