Laura’s Unicorn Cake Smash!
My gosh, I can’t even belive that this was almost three years ago! I came across this post and just seeing my baby like this brought me so much happiness. I am so glad I have these photos of her to look back through and to show her when she gets older. This is why I love photography so much! I love to look through older photos and travel back in time with them!
Over last weekend my youngest daughter, my little Laura girl, turned 2 years old. This really stirred up my emotions; I mean how can my baby be so big already!? I decided that it would be best to do a Unicorn-themed cake smash picture session with her. Being a mom of two, I am always running after my girls and am trying my best to keep up with both of them; between dance class, swimming class and everything else, let’s just say that life gets busy. With that said, I do try my best to stop and enjoy my little girls as much as possible. It really is true what everyone says – they do grow too fast. I honestly can’t believe my little baby is now two!!
The Unicorn cake smash really helped me capture Laura turning two; I was able to work closely with Aline, a party decorator, who helped me set everything up and decorate. I seriously loved how everything turned out! She really knows how to listen to what you want and brings everything to life so much better than what you had imagined – she even brought over a little felt doll that was made special for Laura! Her cute shirt I was able to order it custom made from Natalie through her Etsy store. I also ordered this amazingly beautiful unicorn cake from Terri and Laura just loved it!! Trust me, it was GOOD! Let’s just say that I had to have a piece of it too 😉
I am so grateful that through photography, I am able to capture all of my girls’ milestones.
Laura has rocked my world since the moment I found out I was pregnant with her – from a complicated pregnancy to the crazy little firecracker she’s grown into, she has kept things interesting. I wouldn’t have it any other way! Laura was the perfect addition to our family; she may be a crazy little girl at times, but she is also so sweet and loving, especially to her big sister. The best part of being a mom to my girls is getting to see them grow up together and watch their bond grow stronger! It is so amazing to be able to capture their special moments and look back on those pictures that are hung up around the house. I feel truly blessed to have found this gift of photography to help me keep these memories alive.
