Leticia and Scott

Today I wanted to go back a few months –  back to May to be exact. On May 19th, 2018, I had the privilege of being the wedding photographer for Leticia and Scott. I am so fortunate to have met Leticia and Scott a few months before they got married.

I have to be honest in that, for some reason, I was a little nervous when we set up a date to grab some coffee, go over the wedding details and look at what a day as their wedding photographer would be like. As it turns out, that was just me getting inside my own head, as I had never connected like that with a client before. We left that coffee shop as friends and with a plan to both shoot their engagement session and scout out the Airbnb where their wedding was going to be taking place.

They rented a house in Ramona for their wedding weekend that was on the top of a mountain with more beautiful mountains all around it. The ceremony was on the balcony with a view of those beautiful mountains in the background and the reception was elegantly set up in the front courtyard of the house.

It was a beautiful day for Leticia and Scotty. The amount of love from family and friends that went into making this day go smoothly was delightful to see. While I may have been there as the wedding photographer, I was also there as a friend. I just loved hearing the speeches and kind words, but the first dances are what really got me. When the song “You’ll Be In My Heart” came on for the father daughter dance, I just couldn’t hold my tears! I would say that the coolest part of the night was when Leticia got up on the stage and played the piano while her brother played the saxophone.
