It was a beautiful, breezy Sunday evening and I had the pleasure of seeing the sunset during a Coronado beach family session. It was such a nice evening with Natalie, Dallas and little Hazel. I loved getting to know their family a little more and am so fortunate to have met them! Even though little Hazel, their (almost) one and half year old, did not feel well, we still had a beautiful family session in front of the Hotel Del Coronado, right on the beach.
When you live in San Diego, the historic Hotel Del Coronado is such a known and beautiful location. Hotel Del attracts a lot of families to choose Coronado Beach for their family sessions, just so that they can have the landmark in the background. It turned out to be a great place for this family as well, as Hazel was able to run around and be herself in one of her most favorite places to go, the beach. Also, can we take a minute to appreciate how well-coordinated their outfits were! Natalie did a wonderful job coordinating everyone’s outfit so that they could all flow together; it goes to show that you don’t have to wear the same exact thing to match! I think simply picking colors that go well together and with the location you’ve chosen or have in mind is a much better option.
During family sessions, I like to capture the more organic and natural moments and this one was no exception. I was able to capture the beautiful little moments while Mom and Dad played and interacted with Hazel. Even though little Hazel did not feel well and wasn’t happy for some parts of the session, Mom and Dad were great entertainers for her and got lots of smiles and giggles out of her!
